Sacristans help to make St. Maria Goretti the beautiful church
that it is.
The prime responsibilities of the sacristan are;
-attending to the assembly by insuring that the church is
accessible, safe, warm and properly lighted.
-preparing for the liturgy all necessary items for the presider
and various support ministries (Eucharistic ministers, ushers
etc.) so they are readily accessible as needed.
-cleaning up at the conclusion of the liturgy.
The ministry requires strong organizational skills, a
willingness to be a "team member" with all associated
ministries, a flexible schedule and the ability to communicate
and work with all who participate.

Mary Ann Barsic,
Barb Heritage, David, Jacobsma and Ray Wagner are the current
sacristans, but are happy to have the support of a group of
volunteers who enhance the church environment weekly by changing
the sanctuary and votive candles (globes seasonally), general
dusting and polishing of the church, chapel and sacristy, and
other refinements as needed.
Current members of this ministry are:
Rosemary Drosos, Jim Mikulski, Joseph Zalewski, Lois
Ziemkowski
Remember……many hands make light work. Please consider giving a
few hours of your time to this ministry. Call the parish office
if you have any questions or would like to help. Thank you!
